The CYMA M14 AEG is an accurate and well built replica of the real life M14 that captures both the unweildiness and utility of the real rifle.
This rifle is an absolute beast. There's a reason why the real M14 was in a class of its own, being a Battle Rifle rather than an Assault Rifle. It's long, it's hefty, and it's beastly. This rifle feels like it belongs in the DMR or sniper role, and it can certainly fit those well. This rifle is well balanced from back to front, even though its barrel is so very long. It's comfortable to use in any position, whether standing up, crouched, or prone. The texturing on the handguard and on the grip portion of the stock give it a solid feel in your hands. The polymer stock feels well constructed, with absolutely no give, creak, or wobble in it. One of the most fun things to do with this replica is to pull back the mock charging handle and let it ram home, as it makes a very unique metallic clack noise when it collides with the front of the receiver. This rifle feels authentic all around. Internally, the special M14 style hopup and standard Version 7 gearbox give this rifle surprising range out of the box, while still retaining tons of potential for upgradeability. While it may not look like it, this rifle even has potential for a front heatshield rail and a rail above the receiver for optics and lasers and lights. The customizability of such a vintage platform is rather surprising, but certainly welcomed.
The robust build quality, definite heft, and crazy physical specifications of this rifle make it a special one to hold and to use.
