APEX is a newer brand on the market using years of knowledge and know how when it comes to building Automatic Electric Guns (AEGs). In this spotlight we are going to take a look at the Tactics Delta by APEX specifically and see why this gun is possibly the best buy on the market.

From our testing the guns are shooting just a hair over 400FPS with a .20 gram BB. This is perfect because the guns should settle after the initial break in right at 400FPS and stay there for a while. We haven’t had to fix any of the internals of the gun so far, so we took one apart to see what they look like inside and found the overall layout and configuration very similar to Classic Army guns, which were some of the finest guns you could buy and were considered the best guns available back in our early days of airsoft. Since then, Classic Army has been on a slow decline in popularity, which was mainly due to poor distribution and availability and not because of performance or quality problems. As I stated before, SIMILAR to older Classic Army guns, even being made in Hong Kong instead of China, these are better in just about every aspect.

The gearbox, considered to be the heart of the gun, is a standard version 2 shell but with a slight twist. The shell used by APEX has 9mm ball bearings. Why is that important? Usually it is not recommended to use ball bearings in applications smaller than 8mm. 6mm and 7mm bearings have been around forever, and are still available and popular upgrades, however, I have seen too many 6mm and 7mm ball bearings fail under heavy loads from high performance builds. 8mm bearings seem to hold up well, and these 9mm bearings should provide similar durability as a solid metal bushing. The cylinder head features double o-rings to mate with the cylinder and the air seal nozzle has an o-ring as well to provide excellent compression. The guns also include a 6.03mm tight bore barrel versus the industry standard of 6.08mm to 6.10mm inside diameters. The guns come equipped with a high torque motor from the factory. They also feature a metal selector plate and the gearbox has radius cylinder cuts which help prevent cracks in the front of the gearbox shell which is common in version 2 gearboxes.

Externally, the guns feature a metal body and metal rail interface system. Up until recently metal body guns, would be well over $200 dollars, and now with the introduction of the APEX Tactics you can have a quality gearbox as well as a metal body. This is substantial as you are no longer paying close to 400 dollars for a plastic Tokyo Marui shooting 280FPS, or even 350 dollars or more for a metal body gun from other manufacturers. The gun comes equipped with a single point sling adapter which is normally 10 to 15 dollars retail to add onto an AEG that was not equipped with them.  Also included is a vertical grip and flip up iron sights.

The only thing these guns do not come with are a battery and charger.   I would recommend using a  Tenergy 9.6v butterfly battery and a universal smart charger.   The guns are lipo ready and capable of handling the power of a LiPo and I would recommend those that wish to use a lipo to try the 7.4v 1000mAh 2 Panel LiPo and Tenergy Charger.

In essence, the APEX Tactics Delta represents a leap forward in the design and manufacture of AEGs, offering airsoft players a high-performance, durable, and versatile option that significantly impacts airsoft tactics. Its value proposition, offering features and quality typically associated with much higher-priced AEGs, underscores the potential for this gun to change the landscape of airsoft equipment choices, allowing players to engage in sophisticated tactics with a level of confidence and reliability that was previously available only at much higher price points.

Overall, I believe this to be ONE of the best values in the airsoft industry. You get tons of gun for your money and I would consider this to be around a $400 dollar AEG for under $200 dollars. I definitely give this a thumbs up in my book!

Honestly, this is the only airsoft shop I will ever buy from. Their guns are always quality. Their custom work is mind blowing. Their staff is not only helpful, but always happy to help. If you are just starting out or have been playing for years, these guys have guns, gear, and good advice for every situation.

Incredible selection and great price... Did my homework and eventually came back to them. I'm glad I did. My squad will be ordering and I be ordering more gear as well.
