Lancer Tactical has released the new and highly awaited Multi-Mission Carbine family, which includes 2 colors, black & a black/tan two tone. There are 2 barrel lengths available a 14.5" and 10.5" giving us a total of 4 variants to choose from! These guns are extremely high quality, affordable, Automatic Electric Guns (AEGs). They are made in Taiwan for Lancer Tactical by Lonex. What this means is that the gun has EXTREMELY reliable internal components as Lonex is well known for producing extremely high quality aftermarket internal upgrade parts. The gun comes equipped with a complete Lonex gearbox and internal parts. The reinforced Version 2 gearbox shell is well constructed and has 8mm bearings, which reduce resistance and improve rate of fire and reduce strain on the motor and battery. This will allow high velocity with a nice rate of fire all while reducing the Amperage draw on the battery which improves battery life.
The guns receiver and body components are equally as nice as the V2 gearbox, it is constructed of an extremely durable Nylon polymer and feels to be extremely resistant to cracking from flex of the receiver. The gun is also lightweight and very solid feeling in the hand. Being lightweight isn't a bad thing when you have to lug it around for a some 24 hour+ milsim games or even just smaller and younger players.
The rail system has removable rails on the sides, which allow you to place the rails in whatever position required for your accessories. Or if you wish to run the rail sterile, you can reduce weight and diameter of the handguard (RIS) even further by removing them completely.
The gun's receiver is a really nice upper and lower, it features finger groves on the magazine well and an oversized trigger guard. The trigger guard is something I personally really like, as it is often overlooked, especially in the bitter Colorado winters when you need burly gloves for playing on single digit days. The receiver resembles a CNC billet lower with pictogram fire selector markings and the upper is equally cool looking.
The guns average FPS for the 14.5" was approximately 418FPS +/- 2fps with .20g BBs. Which is extremely consistent and very powerful. I am confident the gun will start to settle after we put some rounds through it and break it in, also once the hop up is dialed in, the gun should shoot almost a perfect 400FPS w/ .20g BB. The rate of fire was an impressive 18 rounds per second (RPS) giving a total rate of fire (ROF) just shy of 1100 rounds per minute (RPM). I suspect the guns extremely high performance out of the box is directly attributed to the brass 6.03mm tightbore barrel and precision rotary hop up unit. The only thing I would consider upgrading in the future on this gun would be the motor and I would install a Fox Custom Long Shaft High Speed Motor
The polymer back up iron sights are a welcomed addition to the already awesome value packed gun. Some manufacturers choose to not include any sights at all in an effort to reduce the overall cost of their gun. While this does lower the initial cost it, there is no way to effectively and consistently aim the weapon system. This leaves you with only one option, which is to purchase some sort of optic which adds additional cost which can range from $20-$100 dollars. So yes the backup iron sights add a phenomenal value to the gun. I also decided to use the NcStar Laser & Illuminator.
Also included is a rear single point sling mount, ergonomic grip, and a snazzy polymer fast magazine. The metal single point sling mount would make an excellent platform for Lancer Tactical's single point bungee sling. And the mount itself is a $15 value alone.
All and all I would definitely recommend this gun to anyone, all players, new or experienced. The guns value and performance is unmatched, so much so that I expect them to sell out very quickly in the united states and be on back order in the near future. Lancer Tactical has really out done it self with this release, and I look forward to seeing what else they release.
