About the G&G Armament NiMH Smart Battery Charger:
The G&G Smart charger will keep your batteries both topped off and in excellent shape! Standard wall chargers or "dumb" chargers that sometimes come with airsoft guns are simple trickle chargers which do not cut off or stop charging when your battery is fully charged. This means you MUST carefully monitor your battery while its charging to prevent overcharging or a battery catching on fire. This can take anywhere from 6 hours or more! You will need to calculate your charge time with a non smart charger, take your battery pack capacity in mAh and divide output current mA to get the proper charge time assuming your battery is fully discharged. With this charger or other smart chargers, all you need to do is plug in the battery and wait for the light to turn green. This will only take about 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the battery and charger combo. This particular charger will charge a fully discharged 9.6v 1600mAh nunchuck battery in 2 hours. This inexpensive charger from G&G Armament does the job by charging your battery fully and stopping when it reaches capacity. A simple LED on the charger will indicate the status; red means charging and green means finished.
