About the different types of Non-Blowback Magazines available
These magazines are designed specifically for different varieties of non blowback pistols. The majority of non blowback pistols are co2 powered, and the cartridge is contained inside of the pistol instead of the magazine. A non blowback mag typically holds 12 rounds, and a spring pushes them to the top of the magazine for semi automatic shooting.

Q & A:
Q: What’s a non blowback pistol?
A: A non blowback pistol is a pistol that is designed to fire in semi auto without the slide physically moving on the top half of the gun. Each time the trigger is pulled, the hammer is pulled back then released, and one shot is fired. These pistols are great for beginner or younger players, as they do not have any recoil action and are simple to use.
The fact that there is no recoil action means that these pistols are more gas efficient than a full blowback pistol. This is because none of the gas is being used to move the slide.
Pros:
Easy to use, gas efficient, semi automatic, and lightweight, cold weather performance.
Cons:
Somewhat heavier trigger, less realistic due to lack of recoil, and difficult to repair or upgrade.
Q: Will these magazines work in a full blowback pistol?
A: No, they are designed only to work on specific non blowback style pistols.
Q: What kind of ammo should I use in these mags?
A: We suggest using .20g to .28g bb’s in these pistols. A .20g (lightweight bb) will be more susceptible to wind than a .28g (heavier) bb weight. A heavier bb will travel slower, but is better in terms of wind resistance and accuracy. On certain non blowback pistols, a .20g bb might be too light and curve upwards. If this is the case, try a .25g or .28g bb instead. Check out our bb selection here!
Q: Do I need to perform any maintenance on my magazine?
A: There are no gas seals or any parts that need to be lubricated on this magazine. For best magazine performance, keep the follower clear of any dirt or debris.
Q: My non blowback pistol is not firing. What do I do?
A: Check to see if bb’s are being pushed to the top of the mag by the follower. If not, lubricate the action of the follower, and make sure you are using seamless bb’s that are .20g or heavier. If the pistol does not shoot at all (No sound when pulling the trigger), check to see if you are using a fresh co2 cartridge. Make sure that if there is a manual safety, that it is set to “fire”. This is usually indicated by a red marker.
Q: I don’t see the magazine for my pistol listed. Where can I get it?
A: If the pistol is one that we sell on our website, we may be able to special order the magazine you need. Non blowback magazines are not as commonly available as full blowback magazines. If you want to find out if your magazine is available, give us a call at 888-316-7816.
