About the ASG Franchi SAS-12 Airsoft Shotgun
Looking for something to use in CQB at your field? The ASG Franchi SAS-12 Shotgun is a tri-shot shotgun that will do the trick. Pump the shotgun one time and it will fire 3 BB's with the trigger pull, then repeat until you run out. The 30-round shotshell functions as a magazine and can be fired 10 times before needing to be reloaded and it shoots at a respectable 300FPS out of the box.
ASG did a great job with this airsoft shotgun and it's one of the highest quality great value airsoft shot gun's we've seen in a long time. The gun itself is made mostly a durable polymer on the exterior and metal parts on the inside. Weighing in just under 5 pounds (4.82 lbs) it's easy to carry all day at your local airsoft field.
To change your shell (which act's as your 30 round magazine) simply use the release button just to the side of the trigger guard which will open the door allowing a airsoft shotgun shell to be inserted. One of the cool things about this rifle is that it has 3 different barrels. That means you shoot 3 BB's for each trigger pull and you get a nice wide spread at max distance making it easier to hit what you're aiming at. We calculate this to be at about 1 foot at 40 foot distance.
Some of the advantages of using this ASG shotgun are that you won't run out of power on a nimh or lipo battery since it's just pump operated. As long as you have strength to cock the gun you'll be able to shoot.
