About the Classic Army XM177-E2
The XM177-E2 is one of the forerunners to the M4 we have today. This was a carbine version of the M16/M16A1 and was designed to give its users more flexibility while maintaining good firepower without the clumsiness of a full rifle. You would see these carbines in the hands of special operators of the time as well as specialized roles. The main differences from the M16A1 of the time is of course the shorter barrel, collapsible stock, and reinforced round handguard. The other period correct features such as the correct upper and lower receiver and grip are present as well.
These Classic Army rifles feature a protection MOSFET and are pre-wired to use Deans with a Small Tamiya adapter so you can use standard or Deans plugged batteries.
