This category is dedicated to magazines for the Hi cappa pistol platform. A hi cappa magazine typically holds 31 rounds, and is available in a green gas or co2 version. These magazines are generally pretty heavy, which keeps the pistol well balanced and provides drop free reloads.

Q: What is a hi cappa?
A: The Hi-Capa is a pistol based off of the 2011 (A modernized 1911). It’s a gun that’s been heavily modified for speed, accuracy, and reliability.
A few key factors with the Hi-Capa that differs from other pistols on the market would be its widened magazine well for faster and easier reloading, a lighter slide for faster cycling, a lighter trigger pull, and upgraded sights. They are very popular due to their high round capacity, and reliability. Hi cappa’s have a wide range of aftermarket parts available for them, which makes them a popular choice for pistol enthusiasts.
Q: Which magazine is compatible with my hi cappa?
A: Most hi cappa mags are cross compatible, however sometimes the unique baseplates may not fit in certain hi cappa mag wells. The Jag, EMG, and Echo1 mags are designed to be the same as the TM/WE/KJW magazines, and will work in most of these pistols. The Jag arms magazines are a pretty safe bet when trying to find a compatible mag. If you want to be sure before buying your magazine, feel free to bring in your pistol to test fit a mag before you buy!
Q: Will these mags work in a standard 1911?
A: No, they are only for the hi cappa platform which uses a double stack instead of a single stack. 1911 mags can be found here.
Q: How do I maintain these magazines?
A: Like other co2 pistol magazines, it’s important to keep the seals lubricated. This prevents the seals from drying out and cracking, which is when mags start to leak. Use only a silicone based oil such as this kind for lubricating your mags.
Green gas is self lubricating, however if you encounter any problems with leaking there are ways to prevent the issue. Our tech shop can fix up your leaky mags!
While these magazines are durable, the feed lips on the top of the magazine can break from an unlucky drop. Be careful not to drop your hi cappa mag on a hard surface!
Q: Will these fit in my pistol mag pouch?
A: Hi cappa mags are slightly larger than some airsoft magazines, and are a bit heavy. They are similar to the size of a Glock magazine. It’s important to have a pouch with good retention to avoid losing your mag. Check out our pouches here!
Q: What bb’s should I use?
A: A hi cappa uses a standard 6mm plastic airsoft bb. You can experiment with different weights to see what works best with your pistol, and see which bb is the best for your play environment! I’d suggest starting with a .25 or a .28 gram bb.
