This category contains our selection of mock suppressors and tracer units. This is what you need if you want to accessorize the front of your AEG! They can also mount on to some airsoft pistols as well. It’s important to check the type of threading you have when purchasing these muzzle devices. Most airsoft guns have 14mm negative threads under the flash hider. If you have something else on your airsoft gun, there may be an adapter for it. Most mock suppressors and tracer units will also have 14mm negative threads. The suppressor or tracer unit simply screws into place.
A potential benefit of a mock suppressor is if you wanted to extend your inner barrel. You can have a new inner barrel cut to any length you need, and you can run the length all the way to the end of the mock suppressor. This is something we can do in our tech shop.
Some types of mock suppressors will utilize a QD (quick detach) method of mounting which will allow you to quickly attach or detach the airsoft suppressor on the tip of your gun rather than a thread on application. These will often utilize a specific type of flash hider which are sometimes included.
Keep in mind that adding excessive weight to the end of your gun could ruin the balance or make your electric airsoft rifle more unpleasant to run around with in a game. Mock suppressors can be made with plastic or metal so you have quite a few options. They will also extend the length of your rifle too so take that into consideration. Guns that are short have the advantage behind cover especially in CQB because you can get close behind your cover and have your rifle up to shoot faster. To aim and peak with a long gun you have to stand off from your cover quite a bit which exposes you more at certain angles. As long as the suppressor does not un balance your rifle, it’s a really cool addition!

Q: How Do Tracer units work?
A: Tracer units usually will come in the form of a mock suppressor and is attached to the end of your airsoft gun. You will need the mount it to a threaded barrel so mounting it in place of a flash hider or on your threaded pistol barrel would be the most ideal. Tracer units are battery powered and contain an internal sensor that detects when a BB is passing through the unit. Once a BB is picked up by this sensor, a flash of light is emitted internally, shining onto the BB as it exits the bore. With tracer BBs, this flash of light is enough to activate the glow in the dark material and you will see the BB travel for a distance. This gives the same effect as tracers used in real guns essentially. The tracer effect can aid you in tracking shots in pitch black conditions as well as help determine hits. These are very popular for CQB use as a result. Resourceful players sometimes use their flashlights in lieu of a tracer unit to activate the glowing agent.
