A: The Lambda One Airsoft AEG Tightbore Barrel is a precision machined tight bore barrel made in Japan. The barrel tends to be more expensive due to the extremely tight tolerances they are machined to. The barrel has a tolerance of 1 micron which is equivalent to 0.001 millimeters.

Q: Why use a 6.01mm inner barrel as opposed to a 6.03mm inner barrel?

A: The 6.01mm inner barrel will give you better accuracy than a 6.03mm inner barrel. They can cause a slight drop of fps in certain guns though as opposed to a 6.03mm tightbore barrel. It should still give better fps than a standard AEG barrel (6.05mm-6.08mm) though.

A: The main reason to upgrade to a tightbore barrel is to get improved accuracy and fps. These upgraded tightbore barrels have better fit and finish than a factory barrel. The tightbore barrels also have a smaller inner diameter (6.01mm-6.03mm) than a standard stock barrel (6.05mm-6.08mm). This helps create a better air seal around the bb and can increase fps. As for accuracy aftermarket tightbore barrels generally are precision machined and quality tested so that the bb can easily and freely pass through the barrel. Any imperfections can lead to large groupings as it can affect the backspin of the bb that is applied by the hop up. 

Q: How do I install a tightbore barrel.

A: The installation of a tightbore barrel can be very different depending on your gun. Generally to install a tightbore barrel you have to remove your hop up assembly which houses your inner barrel. After that you just need to turn the hop up all the way off and remove the barrel clip. This should allow you to remove the barrel and bucking.
