About the Madbull 6.01mm Ultimate Tight Bore
The Madbull Ultimate tight bores feature the tightest constriction available from Madbull. You MUST use high quality BBs in this barrel or you will experience jams. Tight bore barrels increase accuracy and can potentially gain you a few extra feet per second in velocity. The Ultimate Series uses 7075 series aluminum making it more rigid than the Black Python 6.03mm series. A rigid barrel such as this could potentially perform better and more consistently due to better harmonics.

Q&A:
Q: What benefits do tight bore barrels give and how?
A: A tighter constriction from your barrel means the BB is bouncing around less causing deviations as it exits your barrel. This constriction also creates more pressure over the standard barrel so it increases your velocity as a result. The slight bump in power and added accuracy extends your effective range by a little bit as well (though you should not confuse raw power as range).
Q: What diameter should I get?
A: This is a 6.01mm inner barrel which gives you the most accuracy and FPS for the money, however it is crucial to use high quality ammo. What we mean is tight bore barrels require more cleaning and are very sensitive to bad ammo. Rigorous maintenance should be performed and feed your rifle only the best and you will not have problems. Most stock barrels are 6.05mm inner diameter or larger and you can find barrels anywhere from 6.00mm to 6.03mm. On average, BBs have a 5.93-5.98mm diameter. You can see with the variances how easily you could jam up your barrel with the slightest hint of dirt or BB deformity. High quality BBs tend to observe strict tolerances coming in at about 5.95mm +- 0.01mm. Generally 6.03mm is recommended as it is still pretty forgiving and nets you visible positive results right away, however those seeking the best performance can go to a 6.01 barrel but we recommend that to advanced users.
Q: For barrels, what is "VSR-10 compatible"?
A: There are aftermarket upgrade barrels for AEGs and sniper rifles however they will not be interchangeable. Most barrels are intended for AEGs but it should be noted that certain barrels for sniper rifles will be out there and it is important not to confuse the two. If you see a barrel designated for a specific model of gun such as a VSR-10, this barrel cannot be used in your AEG. However in terms of quality and accuracy improvements, these will give you the same performance improvements in your sniper rifles in case you like using the same brand of barrel across the board.
Q: How do you install this barrel?
A: Take this to a qualified airsoft tech for a professional install. We do not recommend you experiment or attempt installation without proper research and experience. Attempted installation of upgrade parts voids your warranty on your gun (if it is still brand new) and we will not accept returns on any parts as well. Please do your homework before purchase.
