About the MadBull Whisper Barrel Extension
The Whisper Barrel Extension by Madbull/SOCOM Gear is a stubby mock suppressor or barrel extension. You could use it to cover up a slightly protruding inner barrel or add some style to the end of your muzzle if you have a flush forend and you want to give it that monolithic look. This is great for pistols too as it does not add a whole lot of mass to the end of your barrel which can sometimes cause cycling problems in gas blowback pistols.
Though not based on any particular real world counter parts, we can see that the Whisper is designed to be a compact mock suppressor for .45 handgun like a 1911 judging by the markings. Could this item work in real life? We think that it could since there are some real designs that go for a short length tube but a wider can which makes up the volume issues and makes it perform like a longer can. The BREVIS suppressor which Madbull also used to replicate was that same type of short but wide can design and that is based on a real world proven design.
