This is where you will find your selection of airsoft shotgun shells.
In airsoft these shells do not function at all like their real life counterparts. These are not individual shotshells so much as magazines designed to look like shotgun shells. When you load them in an airsoft shotgun, you only load one at a time. The good news is these magazines or "shotgun shells" hold enough rounds for more than few shots. Just about all of these shotshell looking magazines are all clones of the original TM (Tokyo Marui) style shotgun shells and these are compatible across the board. These shotshells hold about 30 rounds. Depending on your model of shotgun, you might be able to shoot 3 to 6 rounds per one shot. After you have spent all your ammunition, simply swap shells. This is a big advantage in CQB or close quarters battles.
Q: What shotguns do these shells work for?
A: Any that follow the tri-shot design. This can be Tokyo Marui, ASG, Double Eagle, Bravo, JAG Arms, and more. These will not work on brands like Classic Army and G&P who use single shot systems. Those have different looking magazines.
Q: If my shotgun shoots 3 rounds per shot and how do I make it shoot more than 3?
A: On certain models like the JAG Arms Scattergun series you could select another mode to shoot more rounds per shot. This will make you run out of ammo faster though and the range and power won't be as good as it is pushing out twice as many BBs out of the barrel.
Q: My shotgun shoots single shot only, where do I find magazines for that?
A: Unfortunately this style of "shotgun" which is more like a pump action rifle takes proprietary magazines that we don't always carry. If you need assistance in finding more magazines please call us at (888)316-7816 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll try and point you in the right direction.
Q: What type of shotguns are these shells good for? Spring shotguns or gas shotguns?
A: Of the guns we carry, these shells pretty much work with the shotguns from ASG and JAG Arms found on our website.
Q: How many shells are enough for a game?
A: Assuming you're playing in CQB, keep in mind each shotgun shell style magazine is good for 10 shots. A pack of say 4 is only good for 4 shots. If you have a lot of targets or range you have to shoot across you will have to carry more ammo than that. Alternately you could run the shotgun in combination with a pistol and have fun there. A nice thing to have (that is included on some shotguns) is a spare shell holder which will help you carry extra ammunition (and look really cool) on the outside of your shotgun. So the rule of thumb here is if you are running this as your primary, carry as many shells as you can. You can go through them very quickly although thankfully they are very inexpensive.
