The NcSTAR 30mm red dot sight is a great entry level red dot sight for your airsoft gun. Use it to speed up your aim down sights time or if you can't see too well with your iron sights. The body is aluminum so these are pretty durable. You will find that most of these red dot sights will be similar in form and function, but some will cost more because they have additional features like different reticles and colors. This simple one does the job as intended just as good as the more expensive airsoft red dot sights.
Since you can aim with both eyes open you will be able to see what is going on around you and react faster. Another great benefit is red dot sights are naturally parallax free. What this means is you can aim without having your head/eyes perfectly be behind the sight. You can move your head any which way and as long as you can see the dot, it will be on target. Red dot sights are probably the biggest game changing upgrade you can do externally and you will see the benefits right away. Some people keep their iron sights on and deployed so you have backup sights that are active in case your red dot sight runs out of juice.
