But what use is a keymod rail, if the only attachments you're going to put on it require adding on a picatinny rail section? Hand stops in the real world are meant to prevent operators from getting their hands too close to hot barrels or flash hiders, as well as create a consistent point of reference on holding their rifles. One of the most common ways of holding rifles now are variations of the C-Clamp method, which is placing your supporting hand towards the front of your handguard to gain more control over the rifle.
The NcStar Keymod Hand Stop Grip is a very unique accessory that can be utilized to grip your rifle more comfortably, and keep you trained to shooting the same way every single time. The unit is made out of black anodized aluminum, making it one of the more robust on the market. On one side of the unit is a textured surface to grip the unit more securely, as most hand stops should.
Additionally, the unit is also reversible by simply rotating the tightening bolt on the underside of the unit. What we have found is doing two fingers on each side of the post is definitely most comfortable, and allows for the best control over the rifle.
Mounting the unit is rather simple, using the included 2.5mm Allen key. In the bottom of the hand stop, you will find an opening to reach the screw head, which can then be fastened to a keymod rail in either direction. Once this screw is tightened, it is definitely not going anywhere easily.
