About the HSGI Soft TACO
The Taco series pouches by High Speed Gear Inc., or HSGI for short, are a well thought out and brilliant series of gear that you cannot live without. HSGI set out to design a line of pouches that both retain gear securely but is quickly accessible much like kydex pouches that one might run for dedicated fast reloads. Taking what we know about the traditional nylon pouch, HSGI turns it into a modular pouch with elastic bungee cinches and separates the construction of the walls of the pouch into different sections. The walls of the pouch are able to expand or be tightened by way of the bungee. This makes it so you still have great retention of your magazines but without requiring custom fit pouches such as molded designs like kydex. The retention can be adjusted through the bungee but the bungee is stretchy enough that you could stuff a bigger magazine into the pouch in a pinch without having to think about compatibility. The outside of the pouch also has external MOLLE webbing so that you can add anything else your heart desires that is MOLLE compatible.
The sectional design also allows for HSGI to provide you with numerous styles of pouches both in standalone or tandem configuration to suit any of your needs. This particular model is the Soft TACO which is an expandable general purpose pouch. This is just one large expandable pocket which can hold some pretty large items such as water bottles. You can loosen the shock cord to allow the walls of this pouch to expand further for even more capacity. Sometimes for our longer airsoft games, we run these pouches as another magazine pouch. You can cram three or four M4 magazines into the Soft TACO with no problems!
