The HSGI Soft TACO pouch series, designed by High Speed Gear Inc. (HSGI), is a remarkable line of gear that combines secure retention with quick accessibility. Unlike traditional nylon pouches, HSGI took a modular approach by incorporating elastic bungee cinches and dividing the pouch walls into separate sections. This innovative design allows the walls of the pouch to expand or tighten using the bungee system, providing excellent retention for your gear without the need for custom-fit pouches like kydex.
Additionally, the HSGI Soft TACO features external MOLLE webbing on its outer surface, allowing you to attach other MOLLE-compatible accessories and further expand its functionality according to your needs.
The sectional design of HSGI pouches enables the brand to offer various styles of pouches, both standalone and in tandem configurations, catering to a wide range of requirements. In the case of the Soft TACO, it is an expandable general-purpose pouch with a single large pocket capable of accommodating sizable items such as water bottles. By loosening the shock cord, you can expand the walls of the pouch even further to increase its capacity. Some airsoft players even utilize these pouches as additional magazine holders, with the Soft TACO comfortably accommodating three or four M4 magazines.
