About the Condor Modular Pistol Holster
The Condor Modular Pistol Holster is a great affordable option for you to carry your pistol on your existing web gear. This pouch has a one-size-fits-all shape and will work with your pistol oriented for either left hand or right hand friendly configurations. Internally there is a velcro adjustable snap button thumb break which keeps your pistol extra secure and can be disengaged by your thumb during your draw. The large flap is secured by velcro as well. The pouch compartment itself is generous enough to accommodate most medium framed handguns like Colt, HK, Glock, SIG, even with a light/laser. The compartment has elastic material sewn in so that the pouch compresses by default and secures your pistol so it doesn't flop around as you move. As with all Condor pouches, the back of the pouch has the MOLLE loops built in so you do not need MALICE clips.
We see this being ideal for the players that want to carry everything only on their chest or running a pistol as an afterthought and with a "better to have it just in case" mentality. Snipers could also benefit from it because crawling around with a full plate carrier is awkward but being in streamlined web gear is the preferred configuration. Likewise we could see this being used by players who own more than one type of pistol but do not necessarily want to spend money on dedicated holsters for all their pistols. Or this can be for players who don't want to keep swapping their setups when they want to run another pistol.
With two levels of retention (the large flap as well as the thumb break), your pistol is not going anywhere no matter how much you move. One of the worst things that can happen is losing your gear out in the field. Running the right pouch or holster is the key to preventing any of that. We do not recommend using your pockets "just for now", that's how we lost stuff when we were starting out and that was quite a setback.
For players who run lights or lasers on their pistols, this is also a great solution because it can be hard to find a dedicated holster for their setups. Outside of going with a fully custom holster, this is your next best bet. Its difficult to find an inexpensive holster setup with the many combinations of lights that can be mounted to every pistol out there which is why many holster makers focus on just a few popular combinations.
We have tested this with most of the pistols we offer. The only gun we carry which would not work in this is the Desert Eagle by Cybergun or the 6" revolvers by Action Sport Games (Dan Wesson 715 series).
