About the Condor Single M4 Mag Pouch
The Condor Single M4 Mag Pouch is a great option if you're looking to carry extra M4 mags into the field. Simply mount the pouch to your MOLLE platform and you're good to go. This is a pouch which can hold 2 M4-style magazines. You also could attempt to run thicker magazines like ones for a G36 but you will only be able to hold one. This is stitched from high quality 600 denier nylon for toughness and durability.
Q: What is MOLLE?
A: MOLLE stands for MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment. This is a military acronym and refers to the modular web gear they have been using. If you've looked at modular tactical vests you'll notice some rows of nylon webbing running across them arranged in a grid-like pattern. This is MOLLE webbing and it is designed to accept pouches and other accessories by threading straps through the webbing. The idea is that you can configure or reconfigure your web gear any way you want. You can take exactly what you need and leave behind what you don't. For example if you run multiple loadouts and find yourself running a different gun for different days you may change your loadout back and forth to better suit you when you run a particular gun. This replaces the old fashioned web gear where your pouches might have been fixed and nothing was adjustable in terms of pouches. MOLLE was derived from PALS (the Pouch Attachment Ladder System).
Q: How do you pronounce MOLLE?
A: It is pronounced Molly (not Mole).
Q: How do I attach this pouch to my gear?
A: Take your time and do it evenly and you should not have a hard time. First, weave the straps through your webbing one by one, doing each horizontal row at the same time. If you go just down one row vertically and try to do the next, you'll find there won't be enough give or flex at times for you to do the next row over. You won't want to skip over weaving any of the webbing. You'll find the more you weave into the webbing, the more secure it is and unbreakable overall.
Q: I have older ALICE clips. Will these work?
A: Yes these will work but they are not as good of an option due to the added weight.
Q: I need to carry more than 2 magazines but these pouches add up! What do you suggest?
A: There are single unit 2-pouch and 3-pouch panels you can add instead if you know those are exactly the number of magazines you want to carry.
Q: How tough are these pouches? Will they stretch or wear out?
A: These should last indefinitely. These use a 600 Denier material. The higher the number the stronger it is however the weight of more dense materials will be present.
