The best part about the sport of Airsoft is the accessorizing of your guns and gear! :D In this section, you will find all kind of accessories you need to attach and optimize your all your optics. One of the main accessories you will want to look into picking for your magnified scope or electronic reflex sight is a quality lens protector. You will also want to get different rail risers, or different height scope rings in order to get your optic in the most optimal position for you with your Airsoft Protective Facemask. A lot of scopes come with a set of basic rings with an extra-tall height. This places the scope too high on a lot of bolt action sniper rifles and too low on most AR15 or AR10 style rifles. This is where it would be beneficial to invest in another set of scope rings of the proper height for your particular gun. In general, the lowest you can get the scope to your airsoft guns bore (barrel) the better. However, you want to still be able to look through the sight with your head in a nice upright comfortable position. So don't go as low as physically possible, just make sure it is as low as it is comfortable to look through the scope in a firing position.
Some Airsoft guns do not natively support mounting an optic. If you have certain variants of an AK, H&K MP5/G3, or M14 you will likely need to pick up a scope mount that adds a rail for you to mount your optic. These mounts will either mount to the top of your rifle or the side and come over the top giving you a Picatinny rail.
Q: I don't see any Picatinny/Weaver style rails on my gun. What should I do?
A: Give us a call at 888-316-7816 or shoot us an email with a picture of your gun to sales@foxairsoft.com We will be happy to figure out a good mounting solution for your particular application!
Q: My scopes lens got shot and the front lens is broken. Is it covered under warranty?
A: Unfortunately not. Even a $2000-3000 dollar high-end rifle scope that a real Sniper uses could be broken by a single Airsoft BB. We always recommend the use of some sort of lens protector or sacrificial lens to keep the front of your scope protected.
Q: How come my scope won't adjust enough to hit my target?
A: That could be a few different reasons. The first most common reason we find is that the scope is mounted improperly. The second most common reason is that the gun is being zeroed at a distance that is too close and the scope runs out of travel. The higher your scope is mounted off of the bore of the airsoft gun and the closer the target is, the harder it would be to get the scope adjusted to a close distance. The third issue we see is a combination of the two above reasons but with the addition of an improper BB weight and hop-up adjustment.
