About the QD Push Button Sling Swivel

Many modern airsoft guns come with high speed upgrades just like a real gun might. You might see them equipped with QD sockets or Keymod for example. Both of these may be used to direct attach a sling using a QD sling swivel such as this one. People who run QD swivels enjoy the fact that their sling is easily removable and does not get tangled up. The push button sockets are extra secure and won't be disengaged accidentally. Looped slings can easily be converted to QD using one or two of these swivels. Keymod rail systems by design can also accept these QD swivels since the large part of the Keymod hole is machined to be the same size as your typical sockets.
Why do you need a sling? If you are just walking around with an airsoft rifle for even a few minutes, you may experience some fatigue just from casually standing around. Now imagine doing that in game. When you are running around with your rifle in a game or at a field, a sling with spare you from some of that fatigue but also gives you more options on what you can do. A sling will secure you airsoft gun while you need your hands free to manipulate a prop or perform a task. If you are going to be doing milsim, expect to be doing stuff with your hands from time to time. Making your sling QD also has the benefit of being able to release your gun with ease and not getting tangled up in your gear when you are trying to gear down between rounds. This is especially the case when wearing helmets and layers of head/face protection.
