Ammunition or ammo pouches are a crucial part to any sort of tactical gear. Depending on your platform the magazine types and sizes will dictate the specific pouches you will need. The beauty of MOLLE gear is that you can adapt your base platform to do what you need it to do. For magazine fed weapons, magazine pouches can be found of varying shapes and sizes. Some can hold a single magazine, two magazines, or more. How the magazine is held in will also vary. You might find pouches with flaps to keep things extra secure, or open top pouches that allow you to quickly reload. These pouches combined with other types available will make your quality of life in the field much better. Generally speaking, these magazine pouches will be made for universal application unless otherwise noted in the names and descriptions. If you are unsure about what to choose, reach out to us with information on your airsoft gun ready. For simpler vest and chest rig setups, much of the time the ammunition pouches are fixed and cannot be swapped out, but should work for common gun platforms and get you exactly what you need to get started.
We have gear starter kits available for new players too. Using MOLLE gear allows you plenty of flexibility to customize your gear to suit your mission, whether you use your gear in a real world tactical sense or play airsoft. MOLLE stands for modular lightweight load-carrying equipment which is a form factor or standard adopted in the United States military and a number of NATO forces. Having a standardized mounting system for pouches allows you to customize your gear to the mission and carry what you need rather than being overloaded with pouches and pockets for a bunch of unnecessary things. A long ago it was discovered that a generic tactical vest might not be the solution since not every mission profile is one size fits all just like everybody's role is not the same. There are many types of pouches available that are MOLLE compatible including ammunition/magazine pouches, utility pouches, medical pouches, holsters, and gear specific pouches. A similar setup that is MOLLE compatible is pouches that use MALICE clips. These replace the sewn on vertical webbing with removable plastic strips that weave into the horizontal webbing on your gear. These may be included with some pouches or may be sold separately.

Q: What is MOLLE?
A: MOLLE stands for modular lightweight load-carrying equipment.
Q: How do I know if I have MOLLE gear?
A: The most distinctive feature for MOLLE gear is the horizontal strips of nylon known as webbing. This is found on backpacks, bags, and web gear (which derives its
name from webbing).
Q: How do I attach MOLLE pouches?
A: You can affix compatible pouches to a MOLLE platform such as a plate carrier by locating the vertical straps found on the pouches and looping through the
horizontal webbing found on the vest. This weaving pattern forms a very tight and secure fit ensuring the pouch is never to come off unless the user intends it to.
Q: Can I make a pouch compatible with MOLLE (if it is not already)?
A: You would have to sew on loops to make it compatible which might not be feasible to do. It is not impossible however.
Q: What medical items should I carry in a medic pouch?
A: Medical items should only be used by trained personnel and professionals only. We cannot give specifics on what should be carried in your IFAK due to these
reasons and due to differing standard operating procedures. In the context of airsoft, you can use these pouches to carry whatever you deem necessary, if not as a
place to store important personal belonging as you are out playing.
