About Apex
Apex is brought to us by Classic Army USA. This is a new division and this line of ultra affordable entry level AEGs is designed to compete with Lancer Tactical's sportline AEGs or similar beginner guns that are in the low $100 range. This is a great partnership that only benefits you the shopper because you have additional choices and if your budget is very tight, you can get a high quality AEG from Apex and still be able to hang with more expensive guns without any sacrifice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where are these guns made?
A: Apex guns are manufactured in China and imported into the US through Classic Army USA who makes a wider range of AEGs (manufactured in numerous places).
Q: Do they use proprietary parts?
A: Apex guns use very standardized parts and so make it a very tech friendly gun or a very keep it simple type of gun for new players too.
Q: What is the average price range of these guns?
A: All the Apex rifles we have carried have all been in the $120 and up range.
Q: What type of player are these guns made for?
A: Apex rifles are made for beginner players or players who are also shopping for alternatives to Lancer Tactical sportline rifles. Sportline is terminology we use in airsoft to indicate what price point and build composition you are getting for your money that sits on the entry level end of the spectrum. Guns like these are typically made of nylon fiber or similar durable types of polymer and sit below the $200 mark. These guns can have their own standout features depending on the brand you end up with but they will at the very least feature metal gearbox that takes standard repair parts. Unlike the very low grade "toy" airsoft guns out there that you could buy in a big box store that DOES NOT specialize in airsoft, a proper AEG can be kept running and use normal parts. The toy grade stuff is often proprietary and performs at a level not suited for play. If something should break these are often meant to be discarded rather than repaired or upgraded.
Q: What products is Apex known for?
A: Apex makes very affordable M4 style AEGs that keep it simple and give you the performance and durability you should expect out of any brand if you want to play airsoft seriously.
Q: Are these guns “LiPo ready”?
A: "LiPo ready" is mostly just a marketing term used in the airsoft world. All of ASG's offerings will be able to withstand a 7.4v LiPo out of the box, and they can definitely deal with a larger 11.1v battery as well. But with the higher cycle rate batteries there comes inherent wear and tear on the gun compared to standard batteries, so that must be kept in mind when choosing a battery option.
Q: Do these guns have any magazine or bb compatibility issues?
A: Apex M4 style guns are pretty standard form factor and will take upgrades and accessories meant for the M4 with no problems.
Q: Does Apex offer a warranty on their guns?
A: Apex does offer a limited 30 day warranty on their guns protecting against manufacturer defects or quality in workmanship. Fox Airsoft also offers our 30/30 warranty and return police and can service Apex guns purchased from Fox Airsoft for that period as well. Proof of purchase required.
Q: What sets Apex apart from the others?
A: Apex guns give you exactly what you need to get out and play at a level comparable to more expensive guns. In fact we trust these guns so much that they are part of our rental fleet at our local field where they see action EVERY weekend nonstop for months at a time.
