Save money and time with a Fox Airsoft Pistol Starter Kit!
Get everything you need to start playing!
Starting out in the sport of airsoft takes a tremendous amount of research up front and sometimes you end up needing to make numerous purchases just to get what you need to operate an airsoft gun. If you are new or are buying an airsoft gun as a gift, this is especially likely to happen. Fox Airsoft equips players of all skill levels all the time so we know what it’s like and want to take the guesswork out of it for you. All of our pistol starter kits will get you the bare essentials to get you up and running: a high quality airsoft pistol, the correct high quality BB’s, CO2 to operate your pistol, and some lube to perform maintenance on your pistol and keep it working longer.
The pistol starter kits we offer will fit any budget and offer various levels of detail and realism. The non-blowback tier of pistols will be simple to use, highly efficient, and offer tremendous value to new players. A partial-blowback pistol kicks up the realism to the next level by offering recoil from their moving slides. The pistol slide even locks back on the last shot. The full gas blowback tier of pistols offer the most realism of the bunch and offer recoil and lock back on the last shot as you would expect, but can be fully disassembled to be maintained or upgraded along the way. These will be pistols you can keep for a long time whereas the non-blowback and partial blowback pistols will have a finite life cycle and will eventually wear out and need replacing way down the line. When it’s time to upgrade from that, we highly recommend moving into a full gas blowback pistol.

Q&A:
Q: What are the types of pistols available?
A: The typical variety of pistols available will be non-blowback, partial blowback, or full gas blowback pistols.
Q: What’s the best one to get?
A: For budget minded users or people who hate taking apart and constantly maintaining their guns, the Non Blowback or Partial Blowback is an easy pistol to use without any fuss. If they break or wear out however, it is not feasible to fix it as the cost in your time would exceed the cost of the pistol. If you want a pistol that will last longer and can be rebuilt when the time comes, the full gas blowback style of pistols is the better investment in the long term.
Q: What is a Non-Blowback pistol?
A: Non-blowback or NBB pistols are the most affordable type of airsoft pistol that you can get that you can continuously fire without having to cock the gun after each shot. You can fire the pistol as quickly as you can pull the trigger. The term non-blowback means that the pistol does not have any recoil or moving parts, making it a simple pistol that is easy for beginners to operate. NBB’s are very efficient and can get around 100 shots per CO2 cartridge.
Q: What is a Partial Blowback pistol?
A: This is the next option up from an NBB and offers recoil and a moving slide which enhances the experience when you are shooting the pistol. The slide will even lock back on the last shot. The CO2 is used both to fire the projectile and move the slide. The CO2 will last a couple of magazines worth before needing to be replaced.
Q: What is a Full Gas Blowback pistol?
A: These are the top tier of airsoft pistols and add the most function and realism. Gas blowbacks are also referred to as GBB’s. The gun has to be manipulated and loaded the same way you would on the real thing. The slide recoils as you fire it and the slide locks back on an empty magazine. This style of pistol can also be stripped down in order to perform cleaning or maintenance and may have optional part support so you can refurbish and repair your pistol as you need to. The lower tier pistols like NBB and PBB’s are not serviceable once they are past their life cycle so if you want something that can go the distance and be rebuilt rather than replaced, a GBB is what you will want. A single 12g CO2 cartridge can last up to two magazines.
Q: Why CO2?
A: CO2 cartridges are inexpensive and can be found anywhere in a pinch. We offer them as well in the package. CO2 functions year around including in colder weather which is often a detriment to Green Gas powered pistols.
Q: When should I clean my gun?
A: For all of these gun types, the cleaning you will have to do is clearing the barrel of any dirt and debris using swabs or patches and the silicon oil provided. If you have a PBB you can lubricate where the slide will move back and forth to reduce friction. On a true GBB you will want to field strip the pistol to clean and then lubricate where the slide and frame contact as well as keeping your bucking and barrel clean. The bucking should be conditioned with some silicon oil to last longer.
